h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

1) Go another year without having a cigarette (not had one since December 31st 2006)
2) Get in shape
3) Write a minimum of 24 Edited Guide Entries
4) Have at least one driving lesson

Well, they should be achievable - I hit both targets for 2007 (assuming I don't have a cigarette today or tomorrow) so I feel quite confident.

No, no resolutions at all.

Perhaps you should be more specific with resolution number 2. Get in shape!

Number 2 is a direct side effect of number one. I swapped the low-in-fat cigarettes for a quite substantial chocolate biscuit habit, so I need to drop a stone or two, and then build up a bit of leg muscle to try and give my joints a bit of help - the older I get, the more likely I am to suffer from the family trait of crippling arthritis.

Good luck continuing with #1, for sure. That was my resolution back in 2005, and I've stuck with it to date. Keep up the good work.

I've decided not to make any resolutions this year. Too much pressure- I always cave by January 3.

By writing a couple of posts on h2g2 this evening, I am starting to carry out one of my resolutions - which is to learn to use h2g2 properly. I have made one or two attempts but haven't got very far. 'But it's easy!' I can hear people cry, and I'm sure they're right, but my excuse is that I am an Ancient Person!

Oh, hootoo's easy enough after a while - you'll have no problem with that one!
