Does culture not happen to you Southern heathens? How can you not know who Blur are? Stick 'Blur Damon Albarn' into a search engine and see what you get. In fact, got to NME.com and search Blur on there. And stop asking STUPID questions!

Who are Blur indeed!

Next you'll be telling me you've never heard of Oasis, or Radiohead, or Supergrass!

Blur are a highly talented band, who somehow got linked to a bunch or talentless morons from Manchester and a whole music "War" was created by the press.

The talentless morons were seen to "Win" the war, however have gone on to make a succesion of albums that some how manage to be exactly the same as the last one, but paradoxically worse at the same time.

Blur on the other hand have made interesting new and innovitive music, allthough sometimes a bit out there even for an avowed fan like myself.

The morons also have the interesting fact that there are less eyebrows in the band than band members, a feat unique in british pop.

Blur are a band of talentless mockneys who somehow got linked to a fantastic band from Manchester (the world capital of music) and a whole music "War" was created by the press.

The mockneys were utterly trounced in this war and went on to make albums consisting mainly of 'space noise' and static until the geeky guitarist left to churn out 7 dreadful albums in the space of a week, and the lead singer decided he wanted to be a cartoon.

Oasis on the other hand have done what they've always done and made top notch Rock and Roll tunes drawing on influences from the Beatles and the Stone Roses amongst others, although Liam Gallagher's song writing is sometimes a bit crap even for an avowed fan like myself.

The mockneys also have the interesting fact that there are less brain cells in the band than band members, a feat which is sadly not unique in British pop.

And by 'Britpop, sounds crap' do you mean you've heard it and it sounds crap, or that it sounds crap and you have no desire to hear it?

Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ?

Sorta both. I've heard a couple of songs and they sounded cr*p and the name of it sounds cr*p too. If BritPop is anything like normal Pop, it'll probably suck, with the exception of maybe one of two songs.

Britpop is a catch-all term for the guitar based music of the early 90's in Britain.
If you want to make a decision, try and get hold of these songs:

Blur: Parklife
Oasis: Roll With It
Supergrass: Alright
Pulp: Disco 2000
James: Laid

Then tell me how 'crap' it sounds.

You should. And if you want to have a look at the inspiration for it all, download 'Love Spread' and 'Sally Cinnamon' by the Stone Roses.
