congratulations and good luck and I can certainly sympathize. I have been cigarette free for 69 days and I am very proud of myself. It's still a nagging all the time but now I know I have the will power to resist it. I have decided that one year will be my proving point, at which time I will reward myself with a brand new laptop
If you find yourself in need of moral support please let me know. I smoked for 30 years myself and I know just how hard it can be. People don't seem to realize that every single aspect of your life seems to be connected to smoking when you've done it that long. It is a major lifestyle change to give it up. But I have found that the things I replaced it with have had a positive effect on my lifestyle. For instance I bought a new bike, and I go for a long ride which completely takes my mind off cigarettes. Not too mention helping work off some of that weight from eating constantly. I highly recommend it to help you quite smoking.

Its day one, time 7 am:
i normally start the day with a cup of coffee and a cigarette,so i have to make some changes,in order for me to break the habit, ive had a fruit juice instead, there are no cigarettes in the house & ive removed all ashtrays,i think my 1st day is going to be the hardest!

day 2,time 2.15 pm
last night was difficult because i usually have my break about 7.30,straight down the works canteen for a coffee & a ciggy, but i was very good,i worked through my break..
i'm having withdrawals, headaches & feeling nausea,i'm sure its for the best feel worse than yesterday

well I'm won't lie to you, it gets worse before it gets better. In fact it gets better very slowly and I'm not totally there yet myself even. But I am so close I can imagine myself as a non-smoker more and more everyday. If I was you I wouldn't work through break though, I would find something else enjoyable to do to reward myself for not smoking the cigarette. I've decided whatever else it costs me will be worth it if I can get rid of this life-long habit once and for all. My doctor agrees with me too, she told me to get exercise as much as possible but not to concentrate on the weight issue right now cause the cigarettes are really so much more harmful than being over-weight. So if it was me, I think I would get me a nice frothy cappuccino, and maybe walk around the building while I drink it
