The Time Has Come...
Elentari Posted Jan 22, 2006
Ooh, declaring war on Wikipedia - what a tempting prospect...
The Time Has Come...
echomikeromeo Posted Jan 22, 2006
I don't think that's a terribly good solution to the problem. Shouldn't we channel all (peaceful) negotiations through the UW (United Websites)?
The Time Has Come...
Elentari Posted Jan 22, 2006
Negotiations to what end?
Although, lets face it, we'd lose a war (far fewer researchers), so maybe negotiation is the way to go.

They may have more people, but we've got spunk. Not to mention the whales, sheep and badgers at our disposal.
I can just imagine this place in war mode. EMR as minister of propaganda, me inventing awards for myself, Hyp quoting Aeschylus and Mark Twain at our enemies. 'twould be glorious.

Well, I was just reporting what I read about Appalachain Americans. Kentucky was clearly mentioned. Actually, it was mentioned first. Southeast corner? Do the Alleghenies stretch into Kentucky?
Nope, not a single crisis. It was downright boring. And I promise never to declare war without consulting you first. That way, if things go badly, you're the scapegoat.

Hypatia Posted Jan 22, 2006
As to Wikipedia, I ahem...just happen to have taken a shot at them in this week's Alabaster ouse Journal.

Scapesheep, dear.
And we have a whole military command structure to scapegoat. Evil Army, eh?
Oh, I checked a relief map before writing post 20. The eastern end has a little bit of mountain in it, but I don't think it's enough to call it Appalachia. Having said that, I have seen quite a few mountain-side dwellings in western K. that would make Appalachia look like Trump Tower.
Shot at wiki?! Email?

And a lovely shot it is, too!
As we learned in WWI, having more troops isn't the way to win a war. *We* have strategery.
The Time Has Come...
J Posted Jan 22, 2006
Well, unless it's very poorly hidden I don't see the sneaky thing you were hitting at, but I'm proud of ya
A strategery? A strategery on the internets? Y'know, our President used to be a Texas girl... just like, just like me.

I could have selected any number of articles to use as an example. But I selected an author who has a long history of creative differences with the PTB. I guess it isn't clear if you didn't pick up on it. That means no one else will either.
The Time Has Come...
J Posted Jan 22, 2006
Nope, I picked up on it Just didn't think it was that sneaky. But then again, I'm used to open revoltion.
The Time Has Come...
Hypatia Posted Jan 22, 2006
I try to be sneaky. Really! I just can't gett he hang of it.
The Time Has Come...
J Posted Jan 22, 2006
You're not built for sneakiness. You're too nice. I am burdened by no such quality. That's why the VP suite has an office of Treachery, Sneakiness and Black Ops you can refer all future sneakiness to The sheep are black for a reason there.
The Time Has Come...
Hypatia Posted Jan 22, 2006
'Tis a good cause. And justifies a few clandestine operatives. The thing is, they smell too bad to actually sneak up on anyone. Are they actual black sheep or are they dirty white sheep like Buck? What I'm trying to find out is, could they be washed and powdered a bit?
The Time Has Come...
Hypatia Posted Jan 22, 2006
I seriously doubt if they have a drop of African heritage. I know Scottish sheep when I see them. They are just trying to get on the PC bandwagon, hoping for a shyster lawyer and a discrimination suit.
That settles it. Those sheep need a bath!

The Beverley Appalachian Americans doesn't have the same ring to it.
And as for the title musics final line.
And Moved to Bevereley Appalachian America....
