A foreign (Israeli) collegue of mine (Dutch) always refers to Hagelslag as "cake decoration". Indeed some years ago hagelslag was hard to find abroad and was only sold in expensive very small containers, to use as cake decoration. But I think that with the spread of tourism, Hagelslag is now available in many more places. Try some!

Does anyone know where I can find hagelslag in Britain? I love it, and yet my trips to Holland are few and far between so I'd love to be able to buy some here.
