i went and i saw, brilliant!

The internet if full of magic eye pictures, lots of web sites are in 3D, the backgrounds often appear to be in the background. I have a job to read some of the pages cause my eyes keep seeing the 3d image so the writing goes out of focus, If you search for magic eye pictures on any search engine (except h2g2's) you will find loads.
The 3d images are genarated on a computer so the internet is the perfect medium for these types of pictures.
