Oddly, on 42 day this year, I got a great deal of 42 sightings. Someone was wearing a shirt with 42 on it, a score in some sport 42-9. And I saw that the registration number of my watch reads 42142
Coincidence? Yes

In 1847, Thomas Edison was born
1945 Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchhill signed Yalta Agreement
1990 Nelson Mandela was released from captivity

the yalta agreement was an agreement signed by the Allies deciding what would happen to Europe, especially Germany, after WWII

That's what I was going to say! I left for Florida though...
The Nelson Mandela thing was also very important. It helped symbolize the end of apartheid, even after it was over. It led to Mandela being president of his country through a democratic election. I'll have to research it though, that's just off the top of my head.

No, no! Yalta was when the Poles were fed to Joseph Stalin along with vast chunks of people who our lads died trying to save from Hitler's mob. The whole deal made Churchill our greatest traitor and saint.
Germany was carved up in the name of freedom when Stalin agreed to swap chunks of Berlin for shedloads of nowhere anyone has heard of.
