I commute on a motorbike. I used to commute on a pushbike. Either way it is faster and happier. Overtaking a hundred miserable people alone in their hundred miserable cars enables me to arrive at work with a pleasant disposition and an innate sense of superiority. And in the summer the journey is fifteen miles into Manchester, and 50 miles home via some fabulous countryside and some of the most enjoyable biking roads in Britain. It only takes 10 minutes longer than the 15 mile route, and a car takes twice the time to do either. There's no contest - enjoy commuting, do it on two wheels!
