Conservative leaders have been being recycled at quite a rate, since 1997 William Hague, Iain Duncan Smith, Michael Howard - none of these 3 made it and David Cameron has yet to make it and I don't think he will although there is still time yet for him, IDS and William Hague to all be Prime Minister as all 3 are planning to stand for parliament at the next General Election, anyway it was regarding this passage:
"Since then, when all but one Conservative leader rose to the highest office in the land" - including the current leader it is actually 4 now and was already technically 2 already when the article was written as IDS had not become Prime Minister whether or not he might have been going to\might be going to.

I notice it has Hugh Gaitskell down as having died from a Heart Attack, in fact he did die suddenly, but actually from a virus infection.
