I'm pretty certain that Fife is not the only constituency to have returned a Communist; I definitely recall reading (in the official centenary history of the Labour Party, no less!) that Battersea had a Communist MP in the 1930's.

Although I do believe that the only currect elected Communist represetative in the whole of the UK still sits on Fife District Council.

That would make sense - Fife has a mining community, so it would rank high on Communist wish-lists.
