The subeditor should give less creedence to his spellchecker's suggestion function, there are some perfectly spelled but inappropriate words in this article, to wit:
The first instance of 'lead' should read 'led'.
The first instance of 'woman' should read 'women'.
The word 'impetuous' doesn't make sense in context. Perhaps 'impetus' is meant?
