A Conversation for Thirsty?
SON OF PUB QUIZ - A Cecil B. DeMille Production

So, starting again after Looney Tunes stunning victory in the first quiz, here are the rules;
a) I will post some questions which you will answer.
b) I will undoubtedly misspell at least two questions, which you should ignore.
c) All answers should be emailed to me at [email protected]
d) Please remember to tell me your H2G2 stylee name when you answer, so I can atribute the scores to the right people.
e) Any arguments over the answers will be settled outside in the car park, just you and me, I can take you easily.
f) I normally post the answers and following round after about a week. Basically I wait for the flow of replies to dry up.
Thus:
Round One: General Knowledge
1) Best Actor at the Oscars this year was? (An easy one to start)
2) Who originally voiced Kermit The Frog?
3) Who is the President of the American National Rifle Association?
4) The Gulf of Bothnia lies between which two countries?
5) Who writes the Harry Potter books?
6) As mentioned in the Post (no cheating now, we will see how good your memory is) Blakes 7 first aired as what very famous film was released?
7) He designed the PC computer games Railroad Tycoon and Civilisation, who is he?
8) Who invented the television?
9) Alexander the Great's father was called what?
10) What does IBM (as in the company) stand for?
None of these are taken from Hanging Sheep's quiz, so he can enter, although I do like his random guess round. I'm off to advertise this now.

I probably spelled the name wrong for that Civilization guy, but if the announcer cannot be held responsible for spelling, than neither should we.
Incidentally, my mom is also the one who writes those Harry Potter books, and she borders the Gulf of Bothnia. She's an amazing lady.

Yeah well my mother appeared in the first episode of Blakes 7 as well as the film which premiered on the same day, was the voice of Kermit and won this years best actor Oscar. She's a versitle actor if only Kevin Spacey fans knew his true ID.

You will only lose marks for spelling if I have said in advance. As to your mothers ... this is a polite and civilised forum and it is probably best if everyones mother is kept well away.

Particularly the cross dressing ones.
Thanks Munchkin - it looks like a good one, my answers will be on the way as soon as I get away from work. They won't allow us to get to Hot mail so I use a random Swedish site which is down at the moment!
