OK, wasn't sure if I should slink in shamefaced at my absence and appalling lack of manners at not letting anyone know what's been going on, or wander in nonchalantly as if everything is as always, or bowl on in with a big and see how many people are still talking to me.
You decide
I'm not really back properly. Kind of seeping back in because I've started reading again a bit more and can't keep my mouth shut. Today it's two threads in Ask, both started by Hoo. Not sure if I should be worried that that is what's prompting my presence here today or not.
But speaking of absences, I'm probably out of town again for a month or so (that's been happening alot this year) so you might have to get used to the (although I'm more of a jaunting belt girl I guess).
I see quite a few changes in hootooland in the last 4 months...

Yummmmm!!!!
Where the heck have you been?
Do you have a note?
We've been up all night! Every night! For months!
---
On a more serious note - it's great news to see that you really are 'out there, somewhere'
I doubt very much that I'm alone in wishing you had an alternate contact address
Anyhoo... arohanui - you were MISSED!

Ah kia ora six7s!
The advantages of being in the same time zone. Trin will be annoyed about the biccie
>>On a more serious note - it's great news to see that you really are 'out there, somewhere'<<
Actually I did feel pretty bad about not letting anyone know. It got worse and worse as I realised what it'd be like not knowing if someone was even still alive.

Yeah I know, the problem is that if I don't have the wherewithall to post on h2 I'm unlikely to be any good at emailing and I'm sure I've already pissed off a few people in RL who I haven't kept up with.
Here's me note btw:
Dear sir/madam,
Please excuse kea's extended absences. She's been on some rather tricky adventures recently including dodging curve balls. She also discovered how much RL stuff she got done when not online all day so we've indulged her tendancy for wagging. Hope she catches up soon.
yours sincerely,
the kea collective.

Glad you're back, great to hear from you again . . . yes, been meaning to try the RL thing myself - do you recommend it?

Oi! Where are the biccies?
What do you mean, there's only one biccie?
Slink or wander, I don't especially care - Shuffle? Meander? - it's just so nice to see you
(Outrageously controversial threads on Ask Of course! The perfect lure )

Phew. Does this mean i can give up insomnia, give up lurking all night & day, sobbing quietly, annoying all those around me by whimpering "WAAAAAhhhh i can't find my kea, I have lost my kea, my kea has disakeared?"
What shall i do with myself now then?
Suggestions on a plain brown envelope please.Make sure they aren't profane.
Kea, you know my email address if you feel like saying hello; i've also now got a Live Journal thingy; though i have sadly neglected it lately 'cos i have Real Live Hooter staying here; Not Banned Yet to be precise; so have been also indulging in Real(ish) Life stuff.
Welcome back!

You lot better not eat them before Trin gets up
Terri, how'd you end up with NBY visiting? He's a long way from home isn't he? I hope he's doing lots of dishes and shopping as well as visiting and quaffing

Oi! Don't you go running off again, without telling anyone ... Oh! And you are grounded for a whole ... 5 minutes ?
Anyway, welcome back. A number of posters have asked after you.

And even if you might not reply to emails, letting some of know where to contact you outside of h2g2 might not be a bad thing. Yes, you can also ignore emails, but it would give us another option for getting in touch.
Just in case.

NBY is winging his way back to USA even as we squeak & has indeed washed dishes, gone shopping & generally been the perfect guest. I reckon he should hire himself out to all hootooers & do a world tour.
And he has his own.

Ach, that's easy girl. You should try keeping your head above water and below the parapet.
Take care. Keep the faith.
