The most potent pure tea is Smoke tea. Get a glass bottle with a good top on it and fill it with a half a cup of water. Burn a small (thin)stick of Birch and let the smoke fill the bottle. Cap the bottle and let the smoke sink in for a few seconds then shake the bottle. Use this water with the tea leaves. Do not warm the water. This tea is supposed to be room temperature. the smoke taste of birch flavors the tea well and also brings out more of the original flavor. If i am correct the Navaho do something like this also. I can't be certain. Also the bottle must be glass. Other thin wood sticks might work also but i have not done so.
