OK who has upgraded to Windows 10? I have but it cost me, which, was annoying for me, as for a couple of months after I had applied for the free upgrade, they kept sending me messages saying that my computer was capable of being upgraded.

But then I got a message saying that I needed a new Graphics card, so I went and got one, fitted it, then installed Windows10.

After it was installed, there was "no sound" so I ended up having to buy and install a new sound card, the total cost to me was £90?

So much for my Free upgrade, I hope you don't have the same hassle, mind you I'm glad I did it, as 10 is a lot faster, easier to use as well, and it's not yet finished, so it seems to update every time I switch it on.smiley - ok

Let us know how you got with your upgrade.smiley - winkeye

I'm avoiding it like the plague...
Most microsoft upgrades need at least two maintenance releases before they are usable.
SAme can be said for OS upgrades from other sources as well.

Aye! It's always the same, I was reading some posts on the computeractive web site, half of them were positive and the other half negative?

I have found it to be great, apart from the cost, as I had to upgrade some hardware before it could upgrade, but apart from that I'm well pleased with it.smiley - winkeye

Aye! Jim, it's a free upgrade to install, but if the hard ware is not powerful enough, then you have start spending money, so I think that's why they are not upgrading?

Plus, it's only free for the first year, then you have to pay for itsmiley - erm

"Is a good program as long as no user or computer is involved.

Prof Animal Chaos has made the upgrade, seems he managed to get online again. . .

Perhaps some we will never hear of ever again. "
