Hi there

Yep - Well I've been meaning to sort out the daily logs for ages and finally having a bit of a go. Organising them in pages of no more than 14 days, grouped by Leg or Stopover on the Contents page.
I'll try adding a small picture file to each day as well, with max compression, see if it slows the page loading right down or not. Be good to have an illustration right there with the Log. Alternative is to have separate pic file pages as now of course.
Very time consuming to tidy up and add pics but worth it I think.
Re Day 2 - no... what with just getting going we didn't send out a Log for that day. We were a bit disorganised and just sorting out how we would work things together at sea. We spent the day/night sailing down the Minch in good weather, quite close in to Lewis. Very scenic

Traveller in Time online eversince
"The pictures should be less problem nowadays, For as far as I know they are stored on an entirely different way.
For coming online anyway. There are still unanswered questions, such as how did 'John Ridgway' manage with the 'English Rose V1' last authum .
The re-edited Daily Log will be appreciated. Hope to see you around soon again. "

You mean with getting ERVI out onto the slipway?
Before I left we had unloaded just about everything (took us nearly a week, there's no where to go alongside at Ardmore so everything has to be manhandled into a dinghy to be taken ashore, a huge job).
He can only get her onto the slipway during Spring tides, so only a few days each month are possible - and then it has to be calm as well.
With the help of a few friends and lots of experience, they managed it one fine day at the end of the summer.
She's still up on the slip. Didn't come down at all this summer (2005) though John regularly runs the engine and no doubt polishes the brasswork.
Maybe in 2006?

Traveller in Time still remember the windy days
"Glad they managed.
Been 'in the neigborhood' recently, visited Glasgow during Easter.
Only found out where Ardmore is on the Google maps, (and pinned 'John Ridgway' there too hope he does not mind)
< A5076614 > Well, this is an active community with lots of online 'activities'.
Payed your site also some visits, just lurking. "

Traveller in Time browsing the 'Contents Page'
" seems to have completed the circle.
'Richard' published a copy of the < A2817146 > 'The Albatross Project - A Letter from HRH Charles, Prince of Wales'
And I made a transcript of the interview < A2756757 > with Radio4 "
Hi there
Nick.Grainger (AU) Posted Oct 12, 2005
Thanks for these two links - I have a copy of HRH's letter on John's page introducing the voyage - but I hadn't seen the transcript of the Today inteview. I've added a link to it from the Contents page 'What the Press said"
Re the Daily Logs, I'm just going through each new page now to make sure the links at the bottom (to the next two weeks etc) are correct.
Next I'm going to sort out a picture for every day and start to progressively add these.
I also need to rewrite the Communications page - in view of what we actually did - and introduce my research into expedition comms.

Capital 'I' in subject titles? Whenever I see V1, I change it to VI. Do I have another problem ? (I couldn't see any with a quick look - its been a long evening)
Thanks,
Nick
