I have just replied to Paulh and to nautirascal on the hootoo thread. although both of them have been posted, neither of them appea as added posts.

I wonder why?

Christiane, are you by any chance pressing the backspace arrow key to move back a page? This is the key to the right of the equals sign. If you press this, you will move back to a previous version of a page, and it will not show the latest postings.

If you ever find you are looking at a page where you think your posting should appear and it is not there, click on the Refresh button at the top of the screen (two green arrows on a page, just beside the picture of the house). This will load the latest version of the page you are looking at.

I feel like letting out a great big French invective but will restrain myself. I am going to down load your details and put it next to my computer. the problem is I am losing my sight rapidly, and I look for ages for the most simple things. I presume (never presume in research!!) that the green arrows are on the screen. I shall look for them after I have printed out your instructions. Your would not believethat I joined on Nov. 5th 2001.

Here are some other places the missing posts could have gone to:

1. They might have run off to join the French Invective Foreign legion

2. The Witch of the West might have them in her castle

3. They might have fallen and can't get up.

i looked and i looked but i could not find the green arrows nor the little house

christine are you running a macintosh computer or a windows based computer?
if you are running a mac then hit the apple and the R key at the same time to refresh your page
if you are running a windows based computer (pc) then someone else will have to tell you that shortcut

No I do not have a macintosh.

I note by Count Zero's very cryptic two figures on his reply, that F5 it the key to hit.

I shall do that when I have recovered from the marathon editing of my posting on sweetpeas on Nigel , on his vegetable allorment thread.
