My first game seepage as a high schooler was the real-life game of chess. I particularly noticed knight's moves after certain days of heavy playing. As I am not Bobby Fischer, I could not imagine actual games nor progress in skill without (even with, if you believe my friends) sitting and playing an actual game.
I became quite acquisitive after playing the Discworld MUD for hours on end, day after day. This one frightened me. Social games are fulfilling but dangerous for young people with limited meat-space social lives. In any case, I catalogued everything lying out, as if I could pick it up and sell it at a general store.
War games such as Age of Empires and Command & Conquer have desensitized me to deaths in military films. I treat soldiers as expendable toys in games; why does this general care about his troops? This one scared me as well, but it passed.
During a Warcraft III phase, I attended a lecture, during which my mind wandered. I imagined a yellow circle around the feet of the speaker. This circle appears under selected/highlighted characters in a Warcraft game.
Recently, Deus Ex has wrangled my attention, and I find it the most devotion-worthy game yet, especially since it is my first long-term plot-intensive computer game. I occasionally feel paranoia; have for several years, so this is just a focus of it.
I heartily recommend all of these games. Yep, even classic, wooden-board chess.

I got addicted to MUDS. I became various Arch/Wizard/Builder for a while and this is what caused me think that I could change things like traffic and colour in real life by editing the code.

I find that it's not just games that you can get "engrossed" in, but also films.

I guess this would be 'celluloid seepage' instead of 'digital seepage'. I've never had this, even after watching Aliens 18 or 19 times. Which is a shame - I would love to have an Aliens dream!

My father lamely imitates a character during the end credits of every film he watches. My mother has taken to preemptively condemning this before she sits down to watch with him.

Okay I've been thinking about it for a month now, but I still can't decypher DARKERANGELs message. Is is something to do with patches for counterstrike?

Unreal Tournament 2000 and Counterstrike. I like UT, but I haven't tried CS yet.

I like the modern-day setting and 'bang-you're-dead' aspect of Counterstrike. I also liked the original Unreal Tournament, but the latest version just seems like Quake 3 to me. Just play the boardgame Frag instead

Thief 2 caused me to pay careful attention to patterns of light and shade from streetlights etc as I was walking down the street. Wouldn't want my light gem to go red and the guards to notice me. Disturbing in retrospect.
Chess is nice. Driving along... "with a knight's move, I could capture that truck".
