why doesn't the star wars movies have jedi wookies in them

Good question. That's never struck me before, but I'm sure George Lucas has an answer.
Hold on, Wookies can pull people's arms off with no effort at all. I imagine that a lightsaber would just get in the way, and who needs Force Push when a good solid right hook can get the job done just as well
Maybe there are Jedi Wookies, we just don't see them...

There was one in the Star Wars comic in the late 70s/early 80s. But yes, not one in the films. Though I don't see any reason why there can't be.
