I am researching any connection of Hugenot pirates with the Isle of Wight. I suspect that my family (Mallalieu) may have arrived in this country originally o sailing vessels, possibly pirate ships. I have also read in a book some years ago about Hugenot Pirate ships anchering in Osbourne Bay ( then called Meade hole). Any information that any body has will be greatfully received.
