I have visited your site, and approve of the way you have layed out the headlines. Well done! smiley - smiley

Would you mind terribly if I tried my hand at an interview? I've just been reading over the two already present, and would love to try something like that ...

Of course you can try an interview. I'm quite fond of them too, and have been meaning to write another one, when I get chance. There's just so much to do...

I forgot to ask you this last time, do you want a credit on the credits page, and, if so, where abouts do you want it to go?

I don't suppose you know either HTML or JavaScript by any chance do you? it's just that I've got a few "technical problems" at the moment, as you might notice now...

If you can think of any slogans, or "right click gags" too, I'll have them, as I always need more.

re: "Credit" -- Something lower than yourself, surely?

I'm not really bothered, although I suppose I'd be grateful for an acknowledgement. But no biggie, as they say. smiley - smiley

The only HTML I know are the basics - The simple tags, which can be used in conversation forums. I once tried to run a website, with no success. Be it on my own head, eh?

I shall get to work instantly, Mister Plank! There's a deadline, fo course? smiley - biggrin

I'm not sure if there is anything lower than "Third in the list of the cleaning staff". smiley - smiley It's up to you where you go really.

Do you want one of these:

Office cat: Lance Baylis

Tea boy: Lance Baylis

Pencil Sharpener: Lance Baylis

(PS - Lance, does your second name have one S at the end or two? I always thought it was one, but one Andrew's board you always spell it with 2. Of course, it's your name and you can spell it as you want, but could you tell me which one you'd rather I used?)

There is ALWAYS a deadline... smiley - smiley

Ah, it was worth asking. You don't know anything about "layers" do you?

"Pencil Sharpener" sounds good. smiley - biggrin

I spell it both ways myself, because many people I know spell it both ways. My Email address is registered under Double-S too. But if you like you can just spell it with one. It doesn't really matter. smiley - smiley

But which way is it meant to be spelt? (just out of interest here, I'll see how it fits best on the credits).

Anyway, I've got my site back online now, I think. Can you tell me if any of it doesn't work/explodes/tries to kill you or you get up those "page not available" things up, or anything else up that shouldn't come up...

Hello Steven!

I have trawled the site up and down, and have this to report.

The "Colour Supplament" is missing.

The "Writers Guidelines" are missing.

Thanks for that Lance, I'd have never have realised. The thing is, when I test my website offline, it doesn't matter about the case of the URL's. If I spell guide.HTML Guide.HTML it doesn't matter, but when it goes online, it suddenly does, so it can see to work perfectly while offline, but as soon as I put it online, go haywire.

Anyway, I sorted out the Writer's Guidelines (nicked that idea from the BBCi sites, if you didn't notice smiley - smiley lol)

As for the colour supplement though, I've tried it a couple of times, and it seems to work for me. It may have been just that the page you tried to link from had the link typed in wrong, just on that page. I don't suppose by any chance you can remember which page you tried to get to it from, can you? I've checked through, the pages and it seems to work for me...

By the way, did you notice that you're name is now on the credits? smiley - smiley

Good evening, Steven!

I tried to access the Colour Supplament from the main page, and it wouldn't let me, but I can access it from the others pages. Perhaps it's just me? smiley - smiley

PS. Thank you for the credit. Love the Baylis(s)! smiley - biggrin

I am currently working on an article for you, but I have to comb it over so that only 100% of the purest of facts can be found within. Stay tuned!

I'll have to have a look. It may be that I typed in the link as "http://sdjhgfjhg.com" by mistake, or something, so I'll check that. When I tried from the main page it seemed to work for me, but once I linked to it, and it didn't load the logo pictures for some reason, and then I linked to it again and it did. The Dailynes has had a total of 1995 hits (having just checked) wow! I wonder how many of them were me... I'll look forward to your fact packed news extravaganza. I haven't added anything to the site for a while (I guess I've been a bit lazy. I did have an interview with a secretary to put on, which for the most part was an argument about whether the pen Eric Coleslaw was using was hers or his: Secretary: "That IS my pen," Dailyness: "No it isn't, it's mine. The Dailyness provides both facts and pens," Secretary: "I wouldn't mind so much, except that I borrowed it from Andrew in the admin department, and he gets very protective of his pens..." It wasn't flowing right though, so I haven't put it up yet. Anyway, I'll look forward to reading your article/interview, which ever it is now. :) -Steven

... and I do want you to know that I'm happy for you to, as Melvyn Plank's assistant editor of course, edit it in any form that you see fit. As long as the names, places and most important of all FACTS remain as they were. smiley - smiley
