Yep. She is more of the Holoywood gossip type than a reporter or government official like the others.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Apr 29, 2004
Which other president did she write about? Or did she write something about Princess Di?
Oh yeah - she wrote that unauthorised biog. of Nancy Reagan

Hypatia Posted Apr 29, 2004
She also did an unauthorized biography of the British royal family and of Frank Sinatra...both were big sellers.
As to the veritable plethora of Bush books.....they get a lot of attention early, my patrons are all anxious to read them, I buy them and by the time they get processed and ready for circulation another one has come out that they want to read instead. I managed to order the Clark and Woodward books prepub, so since I had them when the publicity hit, they have circulated well.

I would like to read the Woodward book and the O'neil book. I started the Clarke book. I was surprised that it hasn't sold better considering how much publicity it's gotten and with him being interviewes by the 9-11 Commission and all. I liked his statement in front of the commission but I can't say I care for the book. I wrote a little review which appears in my PS if anyone is interested. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F1677241?thread=403049

I will read your review HBf joy
I think maybe Clark is more angry and has some guilt ( in action)to overcome. I was so happy to see him and O'Neil come forward. Many more have talked because of that. They have been in many administrations so I believe through their experiences they are worth listening to.
There are many conversations with Bush and others with a lot of similarities on what they see and feel.
I think it is interesting how they talk about the news articles becoming expanded through all of these books because Bush administration has been so tight with information. Everybody that has been reading teh news was concerned that not enough people were paying attention.
The result has been more than ever tell-tale versions of what has happened behind closed doors. It is sort of a universal re- balancing coming into play I hope that means that more Americans want ot try to be informed and follow through by doing the right thing. Except for possibly Kittys and Karens books they are not meant ot be light reading or entertaining.

If '10 minutes from normal' is intended as a description of the leader of the free world I would add a little.....
10 minutes from normal, and strapped into a broken down tank'
that would be about right!

Maybe I'll post them when I run acrossed them again.
I read several last year.
Al Frankens and the The Buying of Congress; I think that is right.
