"FRance and Russia were against it. They claimed that Iraq wasn't shown to be free of weapons of mass destruction."
Interesting, thanks.
I have not read news much in the last couple weeks.

RAF Wing... Lookee I'm Invisible!! Posted May 13, 2003
The United States has won a great prize, but it won't be worth much unless they can convert the oil into corporate revenue and damn quick.
Do you recall Libya? How there were sanctions or actually an embargo that US companies got around by purchasing Libyan oil through European subsidiaries? Well, that's probably not going to work with Iraq. They need the sanctions lifted to realize the profit on the investment.
Not that the war's going to be paid for from those proceeds. That's going to be a yoke around the neck of Americans for generations to come. You can't expect Exxon or the like to pay for it can you?
So people are asking where the weapons of mass destruction are? Yeah where are they? Well, don't fret, they will be found even if they have to be manufactured. Just depends on how picky people want to get.
And where is Saddam or Ozama or any of the ostensible mission objectives? Where is the Iraqi democracy? What is democracy? Anybody know? Does it even exist in the wild anymore?
So, when the English conquered Normandy, they had to bleed it dry to pay their soldiers and even then they didn't do pay. The magnates just pocketed the loot and pillaged more. The soldiers became bandits.
For a generation, this is how things were until Charles VII finally took back Rouen. I wonder what he thought about as he gazed at the marketplace where Jehanne had been burned alive?
Charles was a late bloomer, but once he figured things out, he accomplished them with a vengeance. It's probably a good thing for the French that someone came along who gave him some breathing space while he negotiated the learning curve, someone he abandoned to the brutality of Warwick's men.
She was a witch too, no matter what the Church says.
Does that mean she can't intercede for all us poor sinners? No, it means she might be a most human saint, someone we can still touch and who touches us. Even her enemies, those awful thugs who tormented and murdered her, their descendents do her honor with cleverly eloquent playscripts and such.
I wonder what saints will emerge from this era of unrest and atrocity? I wonder if God has abandoned us like Charles abandoned Jehanne? I wonder if it even matters? I wonder what inquiries will be made into the sentence, whether it will be set aside and subsequently the convicted will be exonerated and venerated?
Go in peace and pray for me.

Hi Blue Augen time to vote again!
These two mayorial candidates ran a pretty clean election and they did many debates. They should be credited I think. Maybe writing the news rooms on one of the stations they did the debates on would be good.
A clean election CAN be done
I am still voting for the same person I did the first time. I did waver and continue to watch debates but my vote is staying the same.
Don't forget to vote!

The leader in the first election won.
Just for history ,I 'm completing the story.
50% of the voting pop. voted. Slightly less than the first round.
