A Conversation for Frank Zappa

Is that there is not enough new/unreleased stuff comming out. Aparantly he recorded almost all of his live concerts, so where are the new discs? The samplers are okay, but they are just album cuts, so there is no real reason for buying them as I will own all the albums soon enough. Its just depressing to see that his spirit isn't been kept alive by the Zapppa Family Trust, look at all the fantastic Grateful Dead releases there has been since Jerry died, see what I mean?
So just for the record my top 5 Zappa albums are, in no particular order;
1) Burnt Weeney Sandwich (my first)
2) Aposthrophe
3) Lather
4) Play a Jazz noise here
5) Hot Rats.
Although these change almost by the day.

Have no fear, because this fall a new Zappa release will be available featuring unreleased material. For some reason, the name of the album eludes me at the moment, but it'll be similar to Guitar and Shut Up 'N Play Yer Guitar with various live improv guitar pieces.

New releases - I think its basically a problem with limited product, unlimited time & lots of lawyers trying to sort through the numerous record deals/companies that FZ was involved with.

The album you're thinking of is most likely "Frank Zappa Plays the Music of Frank Zappa: A memorial Tribute" This ablum of signiture guitar solos was produced by Dweezil and is opnly available at Barfko Swill (goo to www.zappa.com and click on Barfko Swill online)
Another new album that has just been released is "Everything Is Healing Nicely" listed on Bafko Swill as a "Prequel to "the Yellow Shark"" This presumably contains material from the Yellow shark concerts that didn't make it onto the album. EIHN, too, is only available thro Barfko Swill if I remember rightly

In another Zappa thread there is mention of a live in Australia '76 show but I haven't heard anything more about it.
