I suspect I'd have got flowers for previous birthdays too, if I hadn't been in the habit of referring to them as the severed reproductive organs of angiosperms. I have learned an important lesson here.

Speaking of oats, I'm proud to have just discovered Oatibix. They're just like Weetabix, except that I'm not allergic to them. Hurrah! I've been eating them like scones, with lashings of butter and strawberry jam.

I had some bread, but the only tomatos I had were in the soup I ate it with and not a bit of cheese in the flat.

Will have to keep toasted sandwiches firmly in mind when I next do a shop.

I have so much cereal I don't think I can justify getting Oatibix until I empty at least one of the boxes.
