I'd been feeling pretty OK after the hootoo meet, then I realised that at some point, without noticing it I lost one of lamb skin gloves. Now I'm not a huge fan of gloves, as a rule... But these gloves were warm and fitted well and looked rather good and had cost me money, they're were an indulgence. And, I'd been both careless, irresponisble and unattentive enough to lose this glove.
Now the bruises are gone, and I have other issues preying on my mind apart from the lone useless glove I've still got.
But I don't know if I can ever really be free of the anger, thoughts, rules and self-loathing that feed into the behaviour.
If I'd realised that 2legs doesn't like chocolates sooner you could have had his to share with the family, they were some pretty gorgeous organic ones. And I'd have popped to M&S and got him a steak or something.

I hate losing gloves! And that one sounds like a favourite. Everyone loses gloves, except the irritating pedants who probably sew them invisibly to the sleeves of their coats. So don't blame yourself for it. When Son loses one (almost daily) he cries and wails 'I didn't notice' and I keep telling him, that is how you lose things - if you notice, you pick it up! Luckily he usually drops it between classroom and after school club, so we find it easily. Usually...
I've said before and will do again: Forgive yourself!
We all do things we wish we hadn't. At the time that was the only possible thing to do, in hindsight it seems like the most stupid. All you can do is remind yourself that in that particular moment and situation, you did what you thought was best.

Oh and the chocolates - here I was, thinking 2legs was to some extent normal, but then he doesn't like .
I'm glad I got mine to myself, though!
