Emee, out from under the rock

We got a dog last week. He's a pug/yorkie mix - 7 months old - very cute - very small - very laid back. Baby can pull on his ears and tail and he just lays there. It's great. Mr. Emee is out of town this week and taking the doggie for walks is a bit of a trick. Peanut doesn't want to walk and I don't have a double stroller. The kids are obviously not old enough to stay by themselves for any length of time either.

Baby was sick again last week. smiley - dragon Not sure what it was. She was fine except for the vomiting. *shudder*

Had a headache for 3 weeks and finally went to the doctor on Friday. She put me on more blood pressure meds. Felt a lot better Saturday & Sunday and started out feeling better today. Have a headache again. Maybe it's time to change my glasses. Or my job. Or something.

My dad got a chihuahua puppy a couple of weeks ago. The thing couldn't be much cuter, but it's an ornery little fart. It found out how to play "keep away". I'm afraid my parents are already spoiling it. Dad watches Cesar Milan all the time, but he doesn't see that he's not giving the dog boundaries and limitations.

The dog sounds like a real cutie, Emee. Congratulations. CZ, you have to spoil chihuahuas. It's impossible not to.

It's always stressful when the little ones are ill. I hope she's better now. Sorry about the headaches. smiley - hug I have had more than my share lately. I really think it is my glasses. Hope that's all it is. When was the last time yours were changed?

We got a new kitten a couple of weeks ago. A new dog will have to wait for a new house, though. Definitely not enough room in this one.

Emee, have you thought about a wagon for taking the kids on walks? My kids always love riding in the wagon much more than the stroller, and they're handy for festivals and events too, because you can put more gear in one than you can on the bottom of a stroller.

I would like a cat. They're so much easier than dogs, but Mr. Emee really doesn't like cats. It's okay though because our dog thinks he's a cat. He rubs on my legs and tries to run through the narrowest opening between me & the doorjamb, stands right behind me when I'm cooking so that I'm sure to step on him.

Oooh... wagon is a good idea. I'll have to check on prices. Peanut's birthday is around the corner... Last night there were kids playing in the neighborhood and that got her more interested in being outside. Then she saw a mom & her cub scout selling popcorn door to door and decided to talk to them. Then she decided that she would run everywhere. That worked pretty well. She'd run to the next mailbox or stop sign and wait until I had about caught up with her and then take off again. I don't know where she gets the energy.

Don't worry about where she gets it, find a way to harvest that energy. You'll be rich!

Mr B didn't like cats when we met, either, but when we decided to get serious it was a condition of our relationship (just like I had to deal with his dog). Eventually he was the one who wanted a second cat, then we ended up with a third. We put my oldest to sleep back in February, and a few weeks back found a kitten who was almost identical. Mr B (with some help from broe jr) BEGGED for two days for another cat. Go figure.

Wagons can be expensive, although no more so than a good stroller. And if you take care of them they last forever. I have an old wooden Radio Flyer that my ex mother in law bought for broe jr that is still in near perfect condition for Chunk. So they're worthwhile investments. We've used it for yardwork and other projects, too.

Hyp - yes, Baby is doing much better. She's teething though - 4 molars at once. smiley - yikes I haven't had my eyes checked in a couple of years so it's probably about time.
