Because the radiologist was so squirrely at my appointment Thursday, I called today to find out the results from the CT scan. The nurse said the radiologist called the doctor to take a look at the scan after I left Thursday. Again, they saw 'something'. She also said she didn't have the report, blah, blah, blah and could I come in Wednesday at 1 instead of on 10/18. So Wednesday I get to hear whatever bad news they didn't want to give me over the phone. My guess is I'm having a biopsy when they do the cytoscopy and that I'll be meeting with an oncologist in less than a week.

I wouldn't be too worried. When it's serious they say "come in now", or "as soon as you can". (I know... I've had that call.) They never discuss test results over the phone anymore. (They miss the chance to charge for another office visit.)

Yeah the 'can you be here in 10 minutes' call would have been worse. For that matter, they could have called me on Thursday and asked to see me Friday or something. And considering no one saw anything on the kidney/bladder ultrasound I had in March, it can't be all that bad only a few months later. Of course now that I've written that, I've completely jinxed myself. I'm trying to think of the positives... I'll save on shampoo and haircuts. My showers won't need to be quite so long. I'll finally lose some weight.

STOP IT. Save all that fretting for when you know what you're fretting.

Indeed. I've found it's never as bad as my imagination makes it out to be. I hope the same holds true for you, too. Anyway, how will you manage all those houseguests if you're going to be sick? Better put off the sick bit until November, anyway.
I'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best
