You should really learn to fish. You should also dig for worms or keep an eye out at any local lakes for some leaches. Fishing is not a sport, it is a way of life. And if you spend enough time fishing, you will eventually buy very little food.
If you don't like food, then there is probably something wrong with you. Have that checked.
Not only is it a food source, fishing can be very relaxing. Digging for bait, or cutting bait can also be very relaxing. Think about taking up a career in a bait shop. You will never work another day in your life.
You may also find some possibility for intergalactic trade. The future has a lot of possibilities, having money will not be an important one. But having bait will be extremely useful.
