That will be another year then.
Actually I have lost all track of time - I am lucky if I know what day it is usually.
Spent most of the last month ill - from guess what - a cold! Had a friend staying and we kept passing it back and forth so we spent 4 weeks with fevers, sneezing, coughing, inflamed throats and no energy. Spent Boxing Day in bed. No movies, bowling, pubbing it or generally getting out and about doing stuff.
Finally it seems to be clearing up. And now my friend has gone. So I am back to being my hibernating self as I don't have someones hand to hold onto when I go out to prevent my freaky panic attacks. Although having said that - touch wood - the latest cocktail from the GP seem to be helping.
However we did have many Playstation footy matches which I am fab at - naturally!
I had just about trained him to put things in the bin, and he found out the hard way that if you don't wash up the mashed potato bowl (or at least soak it) straight away it turns into evil cement!
Bless him - he did bring me in bed though. His worst mistake was when I was ill and got up at 6pm to find he had been playing footy all day and hadn't washed up, emptied the bin, cleaned out the very smelly cat tray, started the veg for dinner (when are we having dinner? he asked half an hour after I got up!), had a shower and got dressed, been to the shop to get more milk etc - you get the picture.
But then again that is men for you isn't it. (Apologies to those men that can multi task and do things for themselves)
On the upside - he gives great hugs and if he knew he should have done that stuff he would have. He just didn't see it needing doing
My parents came to visit too and they think he is the bees knees and invited him for a visit when I go to see them. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

The playstation can do that to you! I've ignored the housework lots and lots of times because I'm playing something that I just can't put down. I do normally manage to have a 'cat's lick' wash and get dressed though.

I think it must be a good thing. Sounds like the two of you had a great time and his visit seems to have done wonders for ya

I'm glad you had someone looking after you, mate. The Christmas period isn't the best to be stuck on your own.

There's no such thing as Mr. Perfect Mort. If he makes you happy (and we know he does) just encourage him to your way of thinking and you'll be fine.
If the cats like him (Chicken indeed) then you're already half way to paradise.

Spiggy's always struck me as very friendly but I'll be impressed if Weeone's taken a shine to him (ie doesn't run away when he looks at her).

Actually you would be amazed!
Spig loves anyone that feeds him but he is a mummys boy really, but WeeOne adored him. Little tart was always sitting on his knee and cuddling up under the duvet with him. She was the last time he came to stay. She is funny like that - sometimes she just takes to people (usually blokes) and is smitten. Hard to believe really that 'spooky cat' can be like that!
You are right Outrider - there is no Mr Perfect. That's why I have been single for years. Every 3 years or so I dip my toe in the water and decide it is too much hard work and go back to being single again.
I am going to end up being the mad old cat lady at the end of the street that shakes a stick at the pesky kids when they shout 'witchy witch' over the fence at me

Dylan Hunt hasn't been relegated - and Rommy is still pretty much on the top of my list too - I am a liberated woman
