I don't usually get excited about my birthday but this year is an extra special one, as it is the first year I have had contact with my birth mum.
So for once neither of us are wondering about the other one. At 12.02am she IM'd me and wished me happy birthday.
She said "Every year on your birthday I've thought about you and sent you birthday wishes in my mind but this year I know you will get them."
I am so lucky.
