My mum just called to say that my gran died last night.

Mort I'm so sorry. Are you okay?

I am ok - just very sad.

But she wouldn't have wanted to spend weeks in the state she was - unable to swallow and and talk very much, she felt rotten so I am glad it didn't drag on for her sake.

She was one kick-ass lady.

Thanks everybody.

She had her 100th birthday in October - she was so rockin' that she even said she didn't want a fuss for it!! But of course she got a fuss. The local Mayor came (my uncle used to be the Mayor so he has connections!) and of course obligatory the card from HRH.

She gave me her mothers diamond engagement ring. Think my mum was a bit jealous but I was her only grandaughter so she passed it straight to me. It is still in it's original red velvet box. I would never wear it in case it got lost.

When she was 80 she threw my brother out of her flat because he was slagging of her political party!! She said she didn't want to listen to anymore of that rubbish and told him to leave! What a woman!!

God bless her.

She sure sounds like some character, so at least you have some excellent memories of her, which always helps

Mort, i am NOT resorting to emotional blackmail here, BUT it's a fact for me that if you fade away, it may send me into a similiar state. We all care about you very much & are doing whatever we possibly can to try & help. YOU helped me too; let's not forget yesterday eh? I don't want to feel that helping me was the last straw for you, please please reassure me a little.

Course you haven't been the last straw. I felt glad I could help and was actually right. ( I usually know best )

Just full of so many emotions at the moment. Everything I have tried to hide from or run away from is just filling my head and trying to explode it. You know the only ways that I can cope with it, but what if that isn't enough to get me through to a time when I am strong enough to face them? I am tired.

I don't want to freak anybody out - another reason for moving this stuff offsite. I hate people who post crap like this onsite as it seems like attention seeking half the time and I am not doing that. Sometimes I just need to write how I feel.

Next week will be hard for the obvious reasons and also those that you know a bit about Terri. Perhaps I am just trying to pour out as much as I can now so I can 'pretend' next week.

BTW I have deleted my page in case any passing newbies feel like a chat and don't feel put out by the fact that I can't bothered. Easier to be blank. (How ironic!)
