I have been in such a narky mood all week.
It seems like just as i can deal with one thing another appears - yep that is life - i realise it, but i find it so hard to do simple things sometimes. Ask me to create a marketing strategy for a new pet healthcare plan - no problem, ask me to get on a bus, then i will crumble.
My rent has gone up, which means i need to sort it out with the housing benefit people, and the bank. Still doing my stupid dissability allowance form, insurance payment protection re-claim form for my credit card hasn't arrived, (so if the payment isnt made by them, then *i* get charged £25), need to fill in my nhs charges exemption certificate.
The thing that winds me up most is everybody elses stupidity in organising the stuff in the first place
I also feel that i am having the p**s taken out of me.
I am seriously considering handing back my ace badge. I do my best, I do take pride it in and think i am good at it. But I am really getting hacked off with the way things have been over the last couple of weeks.
I will finish this rant later as i am getting annoyed again...

I am slightly less grumpy today - scifi sunday always helps cheer me up. Andromeda, Stargate and Enterprise.
Tyr from Andromeda and the Captain Hunt too. Eye candy or what! Well a girl can dream...
Having a glass of wine, had some choc fudge cake, so all is calm on the western front, apart from dropping my ciggy down my top and burning my chest (ouch)Half a tube of germalene later and i have a blister It is not the first time i have done that either
One of my cats has been upset for a few days too, he has started overgrooming and now chewing his leg. Every so often he spontaneously chews a hole in his leg, takes about 3 weeks from licking of the fur to licking of the skin to getting a big ulcerated patch and then healing. Nothing i can do to stop it. It is all stress related and he is on cat antidepressants for it. The licking and chewing noise drives me up the wall, but i have to give him extra cuddles to reassure him. (all part of the psychology of it) I had grown my nails quite long and now i have pulled half of them off from it.
Bless him, unconditional love - warts and all.

i have done 39 newbies this evening, although some were just follow ups to Bob doing a very good unofficial welcome.
If i didnt enjoy it so much then i would resign, so i end up sounding a moaning bugger to everybody else instead

it was like i was trying to explain at the beginning of this thread, before i got too annoyed.
Everybody does what they can, and people have committments. Just because i am not working it doesnt mean i can do more - the reason i am not working is because i am ill and sometimes can't even cope with getting out of bed.
So if i can manage to do the extra at the moment, i would hope that some others could help a bit too (besides you lot that have been. It is not too much for people to do a few is it?

You can moan at me any time you know that dont you
Yeh so you see the point that i was makeing some time ago when i said just aces should welcome newbies due to my been told i was been childish etc etc i didnt see them covering the 39 you have done tho
I know that you enjoy been a ace i do as well but we do realy need to say look people more attention to newbies
is needed you are aceing loads and i have done a fare share of them as well
Ill post some thing together for the forum then And ill push the point again about aces becouse enough realy is enough you know we shouldn`t ace any one for a day they might see whats what then mainly no one els is interested in welcomeing newbies

i don't mind non-aces welcoming newbies if aces still know who needs an official welcome - and spelugx's table does that - providing he can be bothered updating it regularly - it will be very helpful, and means we can check if they have been given links or not.
Trouble is that people say that being an ace is not just about welcoming newbies - this is true but i haven't stopped helping in all the pther areas either, ie "i am new, what do i do now" etc or the help pages, or any of the feedback forums, but i guess being a guru overlaps with it a bit.
It is an old problem and i have posted a few times on the aces home page and the forum asking for help with the newbie list and it is almost always the same people that help. Spelugx's figures show that. This last fortnight the numbers will be higher due to the increase in newbies, but it is still representative of the picture on the whole.

Yeh i know that you enjoy welcomeing a newbie but
mina/and a few others say that it`s not just our resposabilaty to welcome
newbies to the site so i have stoppeed welcomeing newbies on the prinsaple of the matter the only reason i do it now is becouse
1)With all the influx of newbies it will be a lot join for a little bit till it levels off again
2)I know that it is just geting more or less left to you to welcome newbies on your own a fact that it is the "ACE`s Team"seems to be minus the team at the moment
There seems to be more and more leaveing as well so at this time aces should be regually looking at the list
I know that people are able to come on so much at a time but the work loads been left to a few aces again
And the fact is if only us welcomed per Abi`s italic days we wouldnt need to go over 39 posts that have been botched by people
Whats the old saying the road to hell
is paved with good intenshions
