Tomorrow is gaining on me really fast now. The tummy has butterflies fluttering about like crazy and I'm finding it really hard to stay relaxed and calm
I can't eat anything after 7.30am, but I can drink water until 11.30am. I need to be at the hospital for 12.30pm for pre-op checks and wotnot.
My scheduled time for the operation is 2.00, so I will be called for around 15 minutes before hand to make sure all is ok.
It should take (all being well) around 20 to 30 minutes to do the whole procedure.
Once it is done, I will be left on a trolley until I wake up properly in recovery. Then they will take me to a private room that has a reclining chair in it. I will be placed there until I feel better.
They said they need to make sure that I've eaten, drank something and gone the loo before I can go home, but they do have an embarassing thing to do before I can go home.
They have also said that they won't say what they've found until my partner is there to collect me. Apparently the anaethetic can cause people to forget very easily, so they need someone there to tell the results of the operation to. Good job G knows what they will be talking about!
Apparently, I won't be able to move much, much less sort out my knickers. The operation will cause slight "bleeding" from the you know what region, and they will have to fit a "you know what" inside my knickers. It's been years since anyones pulled them up for me!!!
I've been warned to take a cushion with me for the return journey home to help against bumps in the road and wotnot, and I've been warned also not to expect to get out of bed on my own either (for going the loo stuff), so G will be running up and downstairs at my command That should knacker him out enough
One of the problems afterwards is referred pain into the shoulder. This is because of the gas they will put into my tummy so they can have room to move around. They may not get it all out and it will press on my diaphram which causes referred pain in the shoulder. I'm hoping they do their best for me.
I don't know what will happen after this, but I'm hoping they will find the cause of the pain and stop me having to take this stupid painkillers
Anyways, I'm waffling now. (Can't you tell I'm nervous), so I'll finish this off by saying this.....
Sh!t happens. Deal with it and it will always be better in the morning.
Love you all.
VV

You know mine and wifey's well wishes, dear girl. And that her several times around, she never experienced the shoulder-aches (not dissimilar to a divers "bends") So do look towards the more optimistic bit, eh? And my condolences to G in advance.

Hmmm, as a techy-guy and the son of a plumber, perhaps I could rig auto-cleansing bits for the pan. With full quadrophonic sound?
