Barlesque Bug: moderating certain smilies
Vip Started conversation Jan 19, 2011
The 'fairy' smiley can't be used as it appears to be a banned word. Is this likely to be changed or will we have to remove the smiley?
I understand this isn't high priority to anyone except me (as I use it as my signature).

I expected that to get moderated. Apparently the word fairy isn't moderated, but putting it in tags makes it forbidden. I will experiment with which smilies are affected and get back to you, as it seems to affect 'erm' as well.

Thanks for the message. I also got the message about there being lots of known bugs so I consider this closed.

Vip, how did you get the fairy smiley to work? I just tried it and got blocked.

I'm sticking to the old version of the site while the bugs are being ironed out. If I had the time I would be out there bug-finding but I should really be creacking on with work so I'm sticking to Alabaster for the next few days at least.

I've just tried a whole bunch of smileys and I can't get any to get past the filter. Is anyone posting smileys from burlesque?

Also, the smiley page, where the boxes are with the code in them, those smileys aren't showing.
And smileys are not longer clickable links where the cursor tells you the name of the smiley (and hence its code).

until this is ironed out I am using { instead of <
it won't be parsed as a picture but at least the idea is clear.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Jan 21, 2011
I can't post at all on guide MK2 as every time I'm told I'm using a word that someone might find offensive... or getting a error page server busy type thing.

There has been an issue with the filters, but we're working on it. The Smiley index should be working now too. Thanks your comments.
