One question - has this entry been yikes'd or is it due to a Bug?

I'm well aware that you cannot answer Moderation questions on site, but I'm 99% sure this simple question can be answered.

As I 'know' it doesn't break any <./>HouseRules</.> could you please get it back up asap.

I'm beginning to remember why I hardly ever bother with hootoo anymore. Far too much of hidden posts and hidden entries and names reset for no good reason...

Oh, so it was yikes'd then, even though it doesn't break any House Rules.

I did not get an email to inform me of this, so I had no idea why the Entry was hidden.

I think your Moderation system needs an overhaul, so that people cannot have Researchers Entries, Posts or Usermanes hidden or reset just because of their own sensitivities...

I'll co-operate with your email comments, but at the end of the day, death is a fact of life, you can't have one without the other.

It is called Deathlist, not Deathwish, now that I would have a problem with.

Hi Emmily, it's worth remembering that you don't get an email if the post is yikesed but not failed. You only get an email if the content (posting or entry) is failed. If the Moderator doesn't feel they can fail or pass the material straight away, they'll refer it, which means it'll be in the Editorial team's in-box and can only be addressed within normal working hours.

(Incidentally, I used to occasionally handle issues outside of working hours when I worked on the team - until the day someone actually made a complaint about me trying to arbitrate a site dispute while I was off sick! From then on, we vowed not to touch anything outside of the working week.)

I don't work on the team any more, but I can see why someone might take offence enough to make a complaint, even if the complaint wouldn't be upheld. Death is a sensitive issue, after all. This is just something you'll face with edgier material

Thanks for that reminder. I hardly use hootoo these days, and have forgotten most of what I used to know.

I lost confidence in the moderation system long ago when my username was reset because I had 'I haven't got big tits I've just got a small body' in my tag line. It was a one liner, joke.
