Can you advise if I have broken or accused of breaking house rules? Is the pre-moderation of postings happening to the bulk of h2g2 members or just a few of which I am one?
I sent a message over 14 hours ago and it has not gone through. If this is going to be the rule then messages of time importance will be useless. Please advise my status. Thank You,
Mark Lamb

Hi there!
Hopefully you will have realised by now that the whole site was on premod during some industrial action at the BBC yesterday.
<./>announcements</.> has the details and it is well worth subscribing to that page as all site related downtime is reported there

Thank you, Mort.
I read the announcement and the newspaper article. It is confuleted to this addle brain subscriber but the gist is things are going to be slow is my take. So I guess it is a wait and see situation.
The part I don't understand is isn't this more work for supervisional moderaters and aren't most people going to be on their best behavior knowing they are being pre-read and pre-judged, to a degree, on their conversations. Which means you guys are going to be reading a lot of uninteresting discussions. I do not envy you. Best wishes. Thanks for the help.

The mods that check the posts for h2g2 are outsourced (although not for all of the message boards) and I hear that there was a technical hitch (unrelated to the strike) that complicated matters!
Hopefully, if there is a next time (possibility of a 48hour one next week - so keep an eye out on the <./>announcements</.> page) and the site is put on pre-mod again then the posts should get cleared relatively quickly.
I believe the poor mods have been working flat out all day to try and get through the queue!
Key: Complain about this post
