On the 'Why Be An ACE?' page, you have the sentence 'get a Ace badge on your Personal Space, and get listed in the Aces drop-down list (an example is on the Aces' Home Page.' There are two problems: 1) there should be a closing parenthesis and 2) it should be 'an ACE badge'.
I hope this is the right place; it's where the ACE told me to go.

I see you still haven't learned good manners baboon.
I smell a troll.

Come now; my house only has 50 bedrooms!
I do have to commend your use of 'its' rather than 'it's', though. I didn't expect that of someone who'd write 'aught' as 'owt' or 'you're' as 'your'.

LordDyran Posted Jun 10, 2004
No; 'aught' is sland for anything. 'Owt' is a phonetic misspelling of 'aught'.

Just to confuse the issue a little more, my dictionary offers 'aught' and 'ought' as alternative spellings of one another.

From the dictionary.com site (as my OED is at home):
'aught1 also ought ( P ) Pronunciation Key (ôt)
pron.
Anything whatever: “Neither of his parents had aught but praise for him” (Louis Auchincloss).'
'Aught' means 'anything'. 'Owt' is not a word.

so lord byron's wrong thanks <smiley.

LordDyran Posted Jun 10, 2004
I saw that, too; I've never heard of 'ought' being an alternate of 'aught', but I can believe it. Neither word has been used like that for a LONG time; when they were in common usage, spelling was still inconsistent.

'Owt' and 'nowt' are how 'aught' and 'naught' are pronounced with a bit of an accent. Merely being the phonetic spelling does not make it correct, however.
