EF: A87769499 'Zamonia - Tales from a Lost Continent' by Walter Moers

Could the quotation marks in the title please be removed? I already talked about this with Lanza. The quotation marks make it seem like this is the official title of the series, which it is not. The original title of the Entry was Zamonia-Tales from a lost Continent. If the name of the author has to be in it maybe it's better to make a new title altogether.
(this was originally posted in the wrong feedback forum (general) and obviously nobody found it )

How about:
Zamonia - A Series of Tales from a Lost Continent by Walter Moers

I prefer the quotes, myself. That dash makes it slightly ambiguous otherwise.

I like Gnomon's idea. How do you think does it seem ambiguous?

It's not clear what Zamonia is. Is it the collection of tales or is it the lost continent?
I can make an inspired guess, but it's still a little ambiguous.

hm... I can't see how the current title is better in this regard. Also, does it matter?
As far as I know the collection has no official name. Probably 'Zamonia novels' is how it's called.

I believe Zamonia is the continent and the books are about it, but there is no official title for the series of books.

My preference is for the quotes, but I concede it's reasonably understandable without in this case.
We do conventionally use quotes, though: A52963914

It would look worse if the title contained the word 'by', eg:
North by North-west by Alfred Hitchcock

Tavaron da Quirm - Arts Editor Posted Jan 29, 2013
Well, my reasoning is that it *is no* title and the quotemarks let it look like an official title, which just seems wrong. I absolutly agree that official titles should get quotemarks, I don't question that.

The quotes are wrong in this case, as nothing is being quoted. You could put quotes are the word Zamonia, but not around any of the rest.

We have:
A87777364 'Shadowmarch' by Tad Williams
That has 'by' in the title. In that case, Shadowmarch is the name of a book as well as the series being called 'the Shadowmarch books'. I think I'll go with my suggestion in posting 2.

Did you really mean to change it to
Zamonia - A Series of Tales from a Lost Continent by Walter Moers Lost Continent' by Walter Moers
?
* * *
When I said "by in the title" I meant "by" in the title of the work, not the title of the entry.

Clearly I'm not making myself understood here, so I'll drop off and let you guys do it your own way.

thanks Gnomon
Unfortunately part of the title appears twice now, I guess you didn't see it because it's so long.

Apologies, I thought I had fixed that doubling, but I clearly didn't save it.
