Don't worry Abi, only three days to go before the weekend!

Has anyone done the "Mad? They're absolutely furious" joke yet?

I have to say that so far, I am happy with the way the moderation is going. My article on Satanism was gone for quite a while, and I feared the BBC had decided on religious censorship. But to my relief, I was informed that my only "crime" was quoting copyrighted material. The article is now back in place without the quotes and I am quite happy and relieved. So far, so good, guys.

Yes I think that we are having more teething troubles then we anticipated, but hopefully soon a light touch will be achieved.

Abi, it is good to have you in the loop on this one.
Can you tell me why - when I posted to two conversations within minutes of each other - both with the Amnesty link - one posting was deleted entirely and I was notified by email, and in the other posting only the link was deleted and I wasn't notified?
Actually, I don't want a post mortem (sorry!) but I think the poster should be notified if links are removed from a posting.
Incidentally, the link for donations to Amnesty is on my home page. And I absolutely totally completely mean all my remarks about censorship, moderators, and imprisionment.
Sorry about the sense of humour failure on this one. But the privilige of living in a democracy where there is freedom of speech and freedom of movement is not one which should ever be taken for granted. Not all our researchers have that privilege, and that should never be forgotton either.
Keep up the good work Abi, and keep smiling. I am reminded of the joke about how you gain total control of the Jolly Green Giant... If you have a moderator's ball in one hand, and you have... Ahh Happy thoughts.
