Hello. I was out and about earlier and decided to pop into an Internet cafe. But when I tried to log onto h2g2 my password was rejected three times. Now I'm at home on my own PC and everything went smoothly. Just wondered why I couldn't log in earlier today in the cafe. Am I missing something really obvious?

You might have had the caps-lock key on. Or someone might have set the keyboard to a different layout than you're used to. SSO usually detects no cookies and reports it to you.

Referrer blocking software?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see what happens next time although it's rare for me to go in there. For the record though, I was able to access some other similar password entry sites which I belong to.

Referrer blocking doesn't break SSO. I know because I usually block referrers.
