h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Ive got an old account from October 2000 U157298 but I cannot for the life of me remember the Username of anything.

I've got the e-mail from Mark Moxon welcoming me and telling me not to spit so the e-mail address I gave is the same one as now. How can I go about getting the username and password<?>

I've reactivated it and everything, but when I log in to it now it takes me to my user space and won't let me do anything. There is no edit button

You could be looking at a cached page or you aren't logged in properly. Press the My Space button and see where you end up. Empty the cache of your browser - but it could be that your ISP is caching pages.

Oooh, so it is thinking I'm still logged in as this account then.

Are you using webtv to access h2g2?

Nope, PC and 56k modem. I logged out of this account and logged into the other one twice. Went to my space and it had quite a long message telling me to write my own intro by clicking edit but there was no edit button on the page. It would let me add a journal entry but when I saved it it just disappeared

I've just tried it again. I've got 3 accounts. This one which is the one I use, a pre bbc one which I couldn't remember the password to when h2g2 re-launched and another one which I used to wind some-one up with

When I logged out just now and went into the last one of the above, everything was fine. Edit button and everything. But, I then logged out and went into the pre-bbc account and there is nothing I can do, no edit button or anything.
