I'm guessing that this serves four. Would that be right?
Alternative method for white sauce which sounds too good to be true, but really works: put all three ingredients cold into the pan, WHILST WHISKING CONTINUOUSLY heat it until it thickens, let it simmer for a bit with the occasional stir. The part in capital letters is important. Works every time, no lumps.
I may just try this for supper tonight....
