Are the Wheels Coming Off?

A steady 2-0 win over Carlisle (MoG, Ekki) helps to banish the Man U demons, and a great match against Port Vale in the Vans Trophy keeps the fans alive. 3-3 at full time (Oom, Ellen, Flanker), it goes to sudden-death Golden Goal. Everyone is pushed up into attack, and on the 97th minute, Belle pops up to head home Bob's cross for a 4-3 win. We draw Hull in the Semi-Finals (North).
A procession of 1-0 victories follows, against Shrewsbury (Oom), Hartlepool (Master B), and Hull (Oom), matching us against Huddersfield in the Vans Trophy (North) Final.
A good 2-0 win against Scunthorpe (Ekki, Ellen) boosts our confidence, but then we lost 1-0 to Hull in a pitiful game where we fail to get a single shot on target. Even worse is to follow - our next match is away to Rushden, and we go down to a terrible 4-1 defeat (Ekki). The chairman (Mark Moxon, of course) gave us a stern telling off, and hoped we'd buck our idea up for the Vans Final.
Did we? No, not really. Our cause wasn't help by Titania being sent off in the 3rd minute for a professional foul. We tried to hold it together with 10 men, but were soundly beaten 2-0. To worsen matters, Mother of God, who had been playing consistently well at centre-back, strained a calf muscle and will be out for 3 weeks. This isn't good enough, team!

Bloody hell, we've only lost two on the trot. Its not as if we're bottom of the league or anything. Overreaction methinks.
And the tesco trolley trophy thingie doesn't count anyway. At the end of the day, Brian, its a bonus competition. Now we can, erm, concentrate on the league?
Oops, seem to have slipped into football cliché mode.
How much of the season is left? We must be fairly near the top of the division by the sound of things.

We're 2nd, but Mark Moxon got a bit over-excited and said we were in danger of relegation 
.
Methinks he might turn out to be one of these Peter-Ridsdale type chairmen who criticise the manager every time something goes wrong.
