It involves us posting a weekly essay that you can read if you feel like it. And then you post commentary, questions, crticism, etc. in the appropriate thread, again, if you feel like it. That's about it.

Hmmm..issues pertaining to war and peace, human rights issues, economics..the kinds of things you'd find in the 'alternative press' usually. That said, there aren't any hard and fast rules. If someone really wants us to read the transcript of an ABC news telecast, then sure . I suppose the idea is to provoke thought, and encourage critical thinking skills and discussion (that hopefully remains opinionated in a nicely academic way). Does that help at all?
