PR Discussion page - Has it come to this?

Are we now down to two pages of Entries on Peer Review, rather than three? I was getting an error message, so I'm not sure. If so, it's bad news. I think it's fewer than I've seen before.
I'm a bit shocked, I must admit.

Oh, I've seen it at one page and two Entries before.
But yes, it is looking pretty dire.

I was having trouble making my picks, there were so few suitable ones that were done and had been there long enough!

True, Matt. I do have one or two in the pipeline, but it's no good keeping them there...
Fresh blood, of course, would be the most desirable.

Well, I've got an Entry in PR which has been ready to be picked for the past 3 weeks! I guess I should consider that to be a pretty dire Entry if it fails to be picked even during a time of Entry drought - but nobody said this in the thread.
Furthermore, I've at least another two Entries that are Updates which have never appeared in Update forum

Did you notify the Update forum, or the eds or somebody? (I'm not entirely sure about the proceedings there).

If you're talking about the Paris one, that *has* been recommended. 
Don't ask me how I know this... 
I suggest you bump them if you don't hear anything for a few days, keeps them fresh in people's memory.

I suggest you take a read of the Update Process BigAl too. UpdateForum
You will note that most of the work is done by the Updater themselves

In the case of both Updates, I rec'd a message from the Eds that the Entries would appear on the FP 'shortly'. That was months ago .
