The noble maple leaf, respendent in it's snow white field and framed by hearty columns. What a symbol for all that is true and right and good.
And much better than those nasty little beavers with their sharp teeth and double entendre name.

I think the Red Maple leaf would be great for a smiley. A nice little inside ID for us eh?

I'd walk a mile for the CAMEL
seriously though, I think this is a great idea given the wide variety of other smileys available is it really so difficult for the powers that be to add a few more? I would suggest a simple 11 point red maple leaf (as on the flag) would be a fine addition, as would a white on blue star, a blue fleur-de-lis, a black maltese cross (think the red baron's plane), a red cross on white inside a red circle (like on the first aid kit) and a red circle with a diagonal bar (the international "no whatever is in the circle" symbol
