Judging from the extended silence I suppose I must have posted my question in the wrong place. In any case, by experimenting, I've discovered something that strikes me as odd about this code. It only works when you're not signed in. To be absolutely clear, (as far as I can tell) you can only see whatever picture or text you are attempting to display with this bit of code if you are NOT signed in. When you add it to a page and then try to test it, you'll see nothing - because you ARE signed in. So sign out, then have another look. Then you'll see your picture or bit of text displayed as advertised.

If anyone reading this knows different, I'd be interested to read how I've gone wrong.
