I was feeling a bit guilty about teasing Croz with a plate of chicken bones after Zak his stuffed duck was ducknapped at the meet on Saturday.
So this little effort is by way of an apology, and hopefully will count towards the ransom demands out for poor little Zak.

To free Zak the Duck from the clutches of his kidnapper, the Community needs to produce 5 new and original entries. One of which, apparently, must be about Dolly Parton

Greetings from Beijing Bureau Gris,
Hmmm, bureau gris - that'll be Grey Desk then?
Anyway, the entry's looking pretty good I reckon - being a veggie (out here? masochist? yes) I don't know too much about the cooking process and didn't inspect the contents too closely.
Just one thing, the standard Mandarin transliteration system in English is Pinyin these days (you might like to check out my fledgling entry at A931466), so there's no reason why you shouldn't call it Beijing Duck, and Szechwan should ideally be Sichuan.

Looks fine to me - though possibly a bit thoughtless - I mean if I was presented with a delicious recipe like this, and had a duck to hand......
Better get it in The Guide quick & get Zak free.

Cheers Jack. I did think about the Peking / Beijing issue. Now whilst yes we are used to the city being called Beijing for news purposes, that doesn't seem to apply to Chinese restaurant menus as this googlefight between "Peking duck" and "Beijing duck" shows!

I'll leave this one for the editors to decide. Possibly a footnote?

This is a good entry, and should have no problem getting into the Edited Guide. Good work.
The only thing I could find wrong with it is that 'kneed' should be spelt 'knead'.

I've expanded on the introduction to give a few more details about the full version of the dish.
Tightened up the language used in the description of the cooking method.
Corrected a some typos - no doubt there are more there somewhere.
Oh and finally, booted this thread to the top of Peer Review again
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!
