OK AWU, I've rewritten the section on jump starting to include connecting the black jump lead to a piece of bare metal on the body of the healthy car. I didn't mention positive earth cars - I don't think any have been made for over 40 years.
I'm not going to mention the tip about indicating as you pass cyclists - there isn't really anywhere in the rest of the entry where it would fit nicely. If you feel strongly, you could add it in a conversation attached to the entry when it becomes Edited.

May be it's just me but, I've always thought the terms double declutching and double clutching were interchangeable and had nothing to do with changing up or changing down.

A web search seems to show that you are right. Double clutching seems to be the American term and double declutching the British one. Does anybody know for certain?

I had a positive earth car until last October - a 1966 Riley Elf... probably one of the last p.e. cars made.

OK, I've added the details for positive earth cars in a footnote.

I've modified the entry so that double clutching is now the American version of the term 'double declutching'.
The entry is now ready (again!) to be picked.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Oka I'm done editing it (not much to do) and I'm either more petrified about learning how to drive or slightly less so...may toss a coin later to help decide

Hi Emily! Thanks for your work on the editing. There are now just four tiny problems with the entry:
1. There's a stray comma in the second sentence which changes its meaning:
"techniques, which" should be "techniques which".
2. The quotation marks around the researcher's quotation look very strange.
3. "amount tyre surface" should be "amount of tyre surface"
4. A comma got converted to a full stop. It needs to be a comma:
"gear. Rev" should be "gear, rev".

Sorry must have gone on Grammar autopilot last night
I dare say it'll get altered by the Editors though

Not to worry! If it reaches the front page like this, I'll put in a request to Editorial feedback.

I'm sorry I didn't notice them, normally I either over or under punctuate. It's a good entry though, and seeing I plan to learn how to drive asap it was very useful for me
